The Bagad Glazik Kemper group represents one of the 4 musical groups associated with Bagad Kemper.
It was in 1998 that Bagadig Kemper accelerated into the Third category becoming Bagad Glazik. Its principal focus is to integrate and create players coming from Bagadig and to prepare these musicians to become members of Bagad Kemper, it offers the possibility to practice and develop Breton music through the different concerts, fest-noz, competitions BAS and tours mainly in Brittany (Festival Interceltique de Lorient, Festival de Cornouaille...).
The musical group formation is actually composed of 25 to 30 players with an average age of about 20 and within the last few years a majority of females.
The bagad is placed under the musical direction of Tangi Josset, also a musician with Bagad Kemper (ensemble in the first category, part of the Bagad Kemper association).
At the last competition in Lorient 2009 for the head of the Festival Interceltique, Bagad Glazik obtained an amazing 3rd place overall out of 15 musical ensembles in the 3rd category.
The rehearsals take place every Friday night during the school year from 19h00 to 21h00 at the espace Hervé Le Meur.
Championship in 3rd category : Ploemeur 2010
Last March 14th in Ploemeur (56) the first round of the Bagadoù Championship of Brittany in the 3rd category took place.
13 groups preformed from the Loudéac, Méné, Penthievre, Poudouvre, Clos Poulet, Coglais, Dol and bassin Rennais regions.
Bagad Landi set themselves in the lead with a 16.52 in front of Bagad Karaez (16.17) and Bagad Sonerien Bro Montroulez (16.11)..
Bagad Glazik Kemper is ranked thus far in 9th place with 14.36. Congratulations to them and next performance Saturday August 7th at the Festival Interceltique de Lorient for the second round!
C’est sous un grand soleil que cette 27ème édition de Menez-Meur, organisé conjointement par BAS Penn-ar-Bed et WAR’LEUR, s’est ouvert le dimanche 27 juin. Au programme, concours solistes batteries, cornemuses, ensemble batterie, concours danses, et pour finir cette journée, les très attendus pipe-bands.
Ils étaient 6 pipe-bands cette année à concourir sur 2 catégories, c’est le pipe-band Cap Caval qui remporte en catégorie A et « Bigouden-Poher », issu de la même association en catégorie B. Le Skolaj BAS Penn-ar-Bed qui réunit nombre de sonneurs du Glazik est quand a lui arrivé en 3ème position en catégorie B. .
Nos soliste n’ont pas été en reste, puisqu'on peut noter la 2nd place de Guillaume Lautrédou en -14 ans, la 1ère place de Romain Le Noac’h en -18B et la 1ère place d’Aurélien Le Brun en open B.
Notons également la bonne place de l’ensemble bombardes du Bagadig KEMPER qui finit à la 4ème place sur 13 en catégorie C.
Dimanche 1ier mars 2009 avait lieu à la salle de l'Océanis à Ploemeur, l'épreuve de printemps du championnat national des bagadoù de troisième catégorie.Treize groupes se présentaient à ce concours et devaient y interpréter une suite d'airs du pays vannetais et pourlet.
Le Bagad Glazik s'est brillament hissé à la seconde place.
Il se présentera donc au concours de Lorient en Catégorie 3A, catégorie qui regroupe les 6 premiers groupes de troisième catégorie et les 8 derniers groupes de seconde catégorie.

10 years of Glazik
Bagad Glazik KEMPER celebrated their tenth anniversary last October 11th, 2008. For this event, the young players successfully organised their first fest-noz.
The public responded with their presence at the "Glaziknoz" organised by the players of Bagad Glazik to celebrate their tenth anniversary. The line-up was very interesting: after an opening concert by the Guenneau - Niobé duo (Flute - Guitar), the dancers presented gavottes et hanter dro accompanied by the Spoum group, the Quéré singers - Le Menn, the Josset – Martin players, Ricou - Simon and Le Bourdon - Carrer and of course, Bagad KEMPER and Bagad Glazik!
Recall that Bagad Glazik KEMPER is a true pool of talent that creates future pipers for Bagad KEMPER. Like their older counter-part, this ensemble participates in different contests and performs in the largest festivals in Brittany.
